Instructions
  1. Add oil to a dutch oven on medium heat and stir-fry beef + onion + carrot + potatoes for approximately 5 minutes.
  2. Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until the ingredients are tender, approximately 15 minutes. Add the peas. Turn the heat to low and add curry starch cubes . Stir until the sauce mixes and curry cubes are melted. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside.
  3. Heat the oven to 425 degrees F and spread the frozen steak fries in one layer on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake the fries for 20 minutes, turning once halfway.
  4. Season each side of the steak with Montreal seasoning. Heat a skillet to high and add the steak + garlic + thyme. Cook the first side for 3 minutes then turn it over. Cook for another 2 minutes then add the butter. As the butter melts, take a spoon and scoop the melted butter over the steak in the skillet for a minute.
  5. Remove steak and let it rest for 10 minutes. Cut it across the grain.
  6. To serve, layer a plate with curry sauce on the bottom. Top with the sliced steak and fries. A bowl of rice is optional but a great addition to sop up the curry.
